It was a little tricky on the first use. Once I got the hang of it (by following the directions exactly) it worked like a champ. I'd used a power version at my son's house and loved the way it left the can top to be used to cover the can for short frig storage of the unused contents. this hand version does the same. It'll my opener of choice in the future. It was very easy to use and left no sharp edges, it'll be an very easer food saver.
