Melting Directions: Double Boiler: Place 2 cups morsels in top double boiler over hot (not boiling) water. Do not cover. Prevent water from coming in contact with morsels. When morsels begin to turn shiny, stir constantly until melted. Once melted, immediately remove top pan with melted morsels from bottom pan.We recommend melting no more that 2 cups of morsels at a time. Once melted, use immediately. Melting Directions:Microwave: Melt  2 cup morsels in uncovered, microwave-safe bowl on high power for 45 seconds; stir. If needed, microwave at additional 15-second intervals, stirring vigorously after each interval until morsels are melted. Microwaves vary, melting times may need to be adjusted.

Generally speaking, I am a big supporter of generic brands because for the most part, they're just as good, but a few products are worth sticking with the top name brand, and this is one of them. A good way to completely ruin a batch of home backed chocolate chip cookies would be to use the generic chocolate chips. Stick to Nestle's, people.
