Mainstays 16 oz Mason Jars, Wide Mouth Pint Canning Jars with Lids and Rings, 12-Pack Glass Jars for Home Canning and Meal Prep

I have only had 2 lid failures from the lids. This is 2 too many because I never had lid failures until about 5 years ago. But the jars themselves, these a very nice for locally sourced jars. I just wish Walmart would keep better stock year round. They don't pay attention to those of us who can year round.

I answered affirmably on all counts. Although I have never used Mainstay in canning or water bath canning foods with them. But here they are and I plan on putting them into action and pressure canning some chicken I got on sale from a local farmer. A VERY GOOD SALE by the way. Water bath canning is easy to do. But pressure canning is ONE VERY DIFFERENT ANIMAL. I must do the pressure canning in the fall and winter here in Bakersfield. It is VERY VERY VERY HOT in our Summers and I can't bake or can during in our heat. Sometimes PG%26E asks us to cut all power off during the Summer for about 5 hours from 4 to 9 each day to help OTHERS have power. THE GOVERNOR has closed our WATER power and our NUKE power! Not sure yet who "THEY ARE" but I do it anyway. But canning my small amounts of meat I can still have works great for me. Stage 4 Kidney disease is no fun. I think I am still able to consume AIR and WATER and watch pictures of food pass me by giggles. It has been so long I can't remember the smell of bacon cooking or the taste of a good beef hot dog. Oh My bad...! I hope these Walmart brand canning jars and lids function well. If not I will let you know. IF I am known for anything in my reviews I AM TRUTHFUL!
