Does not work with Tattler reusable lids.

These jars are an excellent quality exceeding your standard Ball jars. I used a caliper and the mainstay jars are actually thicker glass than your standard canning jar. The provided rings and lids work fantastically. Where I ran into a problem is I don't use disposable lids anymore. I have switched to reusable Tattler brand lids. At first, they appeared to be closed, but I started having a lot of siphoning and failures which I never have. Then in a normal water bath can session one of the jars actually popped open and that has never happened to me using tin or reusable lids. I finally figured out that the Walmart jars screw threads are not as long as the Ball jars. I have still had some success with some of the Walmart jars and the reusable lids, but it's a PITA to get the lid set right. So for now these jars will be strictly used for my give away jars since I use tin lids for those.
