I like this type of scale, but I always thought they would be built heavier duty. The welds on this machine are very small, which makes me worry about how well it will hold up with my big back. The top measuring bar also moves on its own instead of locking into notches, so it tends to slide with gravity, which gets annoying. It does measure my weight accurately once I spent some time adjusting it, but overall it feels less sturdy and refined than I expected.
