Other than being a bit expensive, this is THE BEST protein powder on the market, as far as I'm concerned. I did my research, and this protein powder is so pure and without all the junkie additives. Further, it packs a whopping 26 grams of protein per scoop WITH ONLY 3 CARBS! That is so important since older people tend to lose muscle mass, and protein creates muscle mass! Further for the disabled who might be stuck in a wheelchair, there is even a greater loss of muscle mass! So couple the 26 grams of protein with just the 3 carbs, and you won't have to worry about weight gain either; certainly not from drinking this shake, that's for sure! This is how I make my protein "smoothie." I have an individual-size electric blender, and into that blender i put in five ice cubes, a whole handful of "frozen mixed fruit," 1-1/2 scoops instant NON-FAT powdered milk, and add just a slight bit more than a scoop of the Bluebonnet Whey Isolate Protein Powder. (I purchase the Vanilla flavor, simply because I think it's the most tasty.) Then I fill with ice water, but not quite to the brim so that the blender can "blend" it. Once the lid is on, I "pulse" the blender a few times, and I get the most delicious and nutritious protein shake ever. It's almost like an "icey" because of the ice cubes and frozen mixed fruit. It's great and good for you!
