Essential for all stages of growth!

While my chickens definitely prefer the worms, they never leave the beetles, not even crumbs. If there isn't a lot of bug life in the area or they can't free-range all day, I'd recommend supplementing feed and grain medley with a healthy helping of grub. Mine look redder and better.

My chickens are big fans of soldier fly larvae. Mealworms they aren't as fond of but they eat them. It's the small black beetles in this mix that they are crazy for. All three make it a favorite.
