Many of my friends said just get a plate and use a stone that has been boiled to sterilize it.That is all fine and dandy but you never know if that stone has been contaminated with Glyphosate s.For my family's safety I chose to purchase a brand new Made In The USA product.I am also investing in the Ohio Stoneware 3 gallon Crock next.I have nothing negative to say about this product.

We have a container we use for fermenting veggies and were thinking about buying a fermentation crock because of problems with finding the right system to keep the veggies submerged under the brind. The crocks are just a little more than we want to spend at the moment, so were thrilled to find these weights, which happen to fit perfectly in our existing jar. Thank You Gardener's.
