I was very excited about this purchase. Because really need a potable heating system. Before the purchase I asked Mr sparky if this blanket can be used independently with out the attached power cord in a portable way. I was told that it would sustain its power after having changed with the usb port. It does not sustain its power supply after changing to make it potable.
