Since my son absolutely has to have mechanical pencils, I have found myself CONSTANTLY buying them. I got these and he has yet to say he needs more. That tells me that they are lasting, not requiring more lead soon after buying. Nor has he asked for additional erasers. That's a win in my book for the price!
