Straight forward all metal

I've had a dozen blenders and all have failed after moderate to heavy use. I wanted one that was straight forward no frills but durable and made of glass. This blender has suited my needs perfectly. Simple single switch only operation No silly breakable button panels with too many options Glass pitcher Metal gears and connections No burning plastic or rubber issues Easy to disassemble and clean Sharp blades Only slight oil smell at first but it didn't cause me any issues and Im very sensitive. Yes it's pretty loud. But it's powerful, don't overfill with too much ice and you'll be done in a seconds. -Note: Do not shake the blender when in motion! I learned that I was stripping the connection to the blade. User error.

Great: finally a blender for frozen fruit!

This blender has two great features. First, it has the power to deal with frozen fruit and hence can make a smooth smoothie. Second, its conical design keeps air from being sucked into the smoothie: no more foam. We immediately bought a second one after trying it.

If you are going to make smoothies, this is the blender to buy. This blender works awesome for making smoothies. I think it is a bit loud, but then again I haven't had a blender that isn't. The price point is a little higher than other blenders, but it is worth it because it has a 600 watt motor compared to the usual 450. Be advised that it only has two speeds so if you like to have six different buttons to push, try a different model.
