There are so many reviews about how hard this is to use or how hard it is to clean. If you search for pasta dough recipes that are for an extruder type of Kitchenaid attachment rather than the roller type, you will find that there is a difference in how the dough should be. you can use a recipe that uses 7 oz of semolina flour and 7 oz of regular flour and that seemed to make all the difference.

METHOD

1.Put the flour salt, oil, and beaten eggs (eggs should be mixed with tomato puree if applicable) into the mixing bowl

2.Mix with the dough hook on speed 1 -2 for approximately 2-3 minutes, adding water if the mix is too dry. Switch off the machine, gather the ingredients together, and knead by hand until you obtain a smooth dough. For best results, wrap the dough then let it rest for approximately 15 minutes before using the Pasta Extruder.

NOTICE

    Put small pieces of dough into the Input port.

    Don't put in too much to avoid clogging.
