Crazy Sourcing for Gift Cards - Try to fix this!
I ordered 2 Cane's cards, then made another order for 2 Cane's cards later that same day. One came from, I think, New Jersey, and was on time. One order came from the Midwest, and was late. I kept getting updates telling me the item would not arrive before Christmas, even though I ordered it with the Wal-mart delivery "promise" that it would be delivered in time for Christmas. Why two different locations and shipping issues for two separate orders of the same item? Plus, each set of two gift cards came in HUGE mailers bigger than 18 inches x 18 inches. This seems to be a crazy way to fulfil orders for the same item. You can look at my order history for the week before Christmas. Luckily, both orders arrived before Christmas, so "no harm, no foul" but it seems like Wal mart should have a central, decided distribution location for these items, and two orders of the same exact item placed closely together should be sourced from the same location, and not from halfway across the country for two measly gift cards. Just a thought. You wasted alot of packaging and postage for a small item that could have been shipped cheaper and more effectively for the customer. Anyway, Im a fan of Walmart, and I'm glad I got the gift cards. Two have been used already!
