Darford Grain Free Pumpkin Recipe Dog Treats, 12 oz. fills a need for us. We have a Golden Retriever that is allergic to poultry. It is hard for us to find large sized treats for him that do not have poultry in them that he will actually eat. These treats were a lifesaver as they have very limited ingredients, but my dog still goes crazy for them and they are sized for larger dogs. The ingredients are grain free (grain is another allergy many dogs have). Ingredients are :pumpkin, yellow peas, dried potato, dried sweet potato, cane molasses, canola oil, carrots, apples, cranberries, blueberries, annato extract for color, rosemary extract. My dog gets his meat protein from lamb in his daily food, so giving him these treats rounds out a nice diet. They smell very good- with a hint of molasses and pumpkin, and from his reaction, they taste good to him too. I like that you can see ingredients in the coarse grained treats and that they are not full of additives and processed ingredients. My dog is a larger breed and these heart shaped treats are the perfect size at over an inch (see my photo).
