This was my first time using a gel stain. I liked it better, depending on the project you're doing. There is less dripping, so it's great for upright sitting items. I love the color! It was the exact color I was in search for. The only downside, I think it takes extra long to dry. but the gel stain can be used on any kind of wood without a ton of sanding.

Love the beautiful color!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had a project that I've been wanting to do for quite a while now. I've been wanting to redo my kitchen cabinets for a while now. I used the Kona gel stain on them, they were already a deep brown color but they weren't as pretty as I knew that they could be, so I used this stain on them and they turned out beautiful. I'm not quite done yet but I will be soon. It doesn't drip, I've only had to use one coat on the cabinets that I have finished. It's a beautiful dark brown color. And you can also use it on metal and fiberglass, that's pretty amazing. I really love this stain.
