DIRECTIONS • wet area to be cleansed • apply acne wash and gently massage area for 1-2 minutes • rinse thoroughly and pat dry • because excessive drying of the skin may occur, start with 1 application daily, then gradually increase to 2 or 3 times daily if needed or as directed by a doctor • if bothersome dryness or peeling occurs, reduce application to once a day or every other day • if going outside, apply sunscreen after using this product. If irritation or sensitivity develops, stop use of both products and ask a doctor. •For external use only Do not use if you •have very sensitive skin •are sensitive to benzoyl peroxide When using this product •skin irritation and dryness is more likely to occur if you use another topical acne medication at the same time. The only product that has cleared my acne
This is the only acne treatment that has actually been able to clear up my acne and keep it relatively clear for an extended period of time. I'm 25 and have struggled with acne since I was 19, have tried lots of different cleansers and moisturizers, retinol, salicylic acid, azelaic acid, etc all without seeing any results. I have not tried a retinoid for an extended period of time so I'm not sure how I would react to that, but I have wanted to avoid that anyway. My acne isn't cystic or super severe but it is ALWAYS present and in multiple places on my face, making it hard for me to leave the house without makeup. I started using the weaker formula from panoxyl several months ago without seeing results and switched to the stronger formula a few weeks later. Within a week or so my acne started clearing up. I didn't get my hopes up because this has happened before, only for it to get worse again. But this time it didn't. My skin has stayed relatively free of acne for the last few months. I do have a pimple here and there but they heal much quicker now and aren't as inflamed. I'm not sure if this product will ever be able to completely clear my skin because I'm just very prone to acne, but honestly at this point I'm just happy it's actually better. I'm not super embarrassed to be seen without makeup anymore.
