Really good mild verde sauce

This is a mild verde sauce which I regularly use on our nachos and burritos. I used to buy the larger jar of this sauce but do not use it up fast enough at times to prevent molding so switched to these cans and they work well for me. I put the sauce in a small Pyrex bowl and then cover what's left and refrigerate. I have used this for a few years now and recommend,

Good alternative to the Herdez jars.

We often find that stores are out of the Herdez Salsa Verde Mild in the jars, so I gave these cans a try. We saved and washed the last jar that we had and refilled it with the canned salsa. The taste is the same! It seems a little more watery, but the flavor and mild heat are both there. The cans are also less expensive than the jar, so this is a good compromise when the jars are unavailable.
