It’s hand-powered and can provide an adequate pressure gradient to saturate and force the water through the element’s microscopic pores, removing trapped air and increasing the speed of water purification by 8 to 10 times
There’s no need to connect your Black Berkey Elements to a faucet or hose connection. Priming is vital in the filter’s production of clean water, but if it’s difficult for you to use your sink’s faucet or there’s little to no water pressure, this hand-powered primer tool is perfect for you
Aside from priming the elements, you can also use this purification element primer to purge or back-flush the elements with air instead of water. Purging has two benefits, including clearing the element’s pores from debris and reducing the filter drying time
