Mediterranean Gourmet Foods Sadaf Hummus Mix with Tahini, 6 oz

I would suggest using an electric hand mixer on this to get the smoothest consistency without a lot of elbow grease. I also used quite a bit more water than the recipe called for. I was careful to add a little at a time. I like creamy hummus, not watery hummus. I'm used to Trader Joe's or Sabra, so those are the brands I like best. I alternate between the flavored and the plain, but I like the consistency and basic flavors. This hummus, although pretty good, isn't quite . . . Something is missing. I did add quite a bit of lemon juice to the mixture and that improved the flavor considerably. It also helps if you're eating in with toppings (dill pickles, olives, etc) or on flavored crackers to give it a bit more zip. All in all I could recommend it. For me, it is preferable to going out to the local grocery. The price is also comparable to my usual brands, because when reconstituted I had nearly 2 regular size tubs of hummus, or 1 large family size. Don't let the price scare you off.
