The local Northern Tool associate suggested this as a way to efficiently cut several metal framing studs at a time. While it worked great for that task it was not the best way to do it, I found that my miter saw with an old wood blade worked even better and I could still easily cut wood studs after making about 100 metal cuts. Since installing the blade in a cordless saw I have used it to cut several other things. While working in a block retaining wall I found that it cuts through concrete blocks like butter, 20-30 full depth cuts later it's now used in my auto shop cutting everything from exhaust pipe, steel plate, steel pipe, and just about anything else that needs a clean cut.
