DeWalt® 20V MAX Brushless 3/8 in. Impact Wrench (Bare Tool)

I have owned two of these guns, one the XR Brushless and one the older regular brush type. I am a professional heavy duty mechanic working in the mining industry and that older gun went with me everywhere for over three years. It was my right hand tool through all kinds of weather (obviously I did not leave it sitting out in the rain if avoidable) summer and Canadian winter. The only reason that I had to replace it was that I lost it and it was no question that I would buy another. I still get long battery life and tons of power on those older 20V 4.0AmpHour cells. In my trade, many of the parts and pieces are enormous but there are plenty of clamps, panels and smaller pieces, and this gun has been my go-to for all of the lighter things. My only complaint is that the rubber handle grips should be made of an oil resistant material as it started to swell and detach after just under three years. I try not to get too much oil on them but lets be real here: this is a mechanics tool, it's going to get oily. Apparently the Mac version is oil resistant but its horribly overpriced. The forward/reverse selector detents seem weak but it hasn't failed me, so maybe it's better than it seems. I don't even care that this model impact is brushless, I haven't noticed a difference. This gun will bring it day after day through all kinds of weather. Buy with confidence.
