Cricut Joy™ StrongGrip Transfer Tape, 5.5" x 48"

I love the strong grip tape it helps a lot with the small, detailed projects.

Hoping to give a few pointers on this product as it is very tricky to use. First of all, I have been a professional graphic designer for over 40 years and way back before computers I had extensive experience in creating product packaging mock-ups for presentation and use in tv commercials. 1) This product takes time and patience. It is essential to have a Cricut burnisher. 2) Once you have weeded your vinyl (I’m using the silver metallic), carefully position the transfer material over your vinyl to be transferred and burnish both sides of your art really well using a lot of pressure. I go over it quite a lot and continue to burnish while I’m pulling the backing off of the vinyl. If the art is not sticking to the transfer paper, continue to work at small parts at a time as you slowly keep peeling the backing. It will stick to the transfer tape. 3) Now here’s the trickiest part. Position your vinyl onto the surface you want to apply it to. Burnish, burnish and burnish some more. How you peel the transfer paper has everything to do with this working. Start at one end and peel at a very low angle - do not try lifting the transfer sheet straight up. Keep the angle low and pull little by little. If your vinyl starts to peel and isn’t sticking, put the transfer sheet back down and keep burnishing. This is tricky, but I’ve had 100% success with this method.
