Just installed a third solenoid assembly on my two year old faucet???

I'm a state licensed plumbing contractor and installed this faucet in my newly remodeled kitchen. First I'd like to say that I love this faucet and would recommend it to any and all of my customers. I have installed about ten of these kitchen faucets in the last couple of years. The problem I have is I just installed the third solenoid assembly on my two year old faucet. The first one that came in the new faucet went bad within a couple of weeks. The second one I installed around July of 2015. Now I just installed the third one last night at 8:30 June 17, 2017. The faucet still looks brand new, but am I going to have to replace the solenoid every year or two? I know they made some changes to the original design, but there is still some design issues that need to be addressed. Or maybe I just have terrible luck. Confused and wondering in Florida

good product but Poor Instructions

The EP74852 solenoid replacement kit only comes with one hose clip. The instructions sheet (77345) have you install two but they never tell you to reuse the previously removed clip. In the removal images in A-2 the removed clip looks different than the install image in A-5. This could have easily been remedied by telling you to install clip #3 that was removed in step A-2 rather than the instructions say in step A-5 to in clip #6. In addition a parts list should be included in each instruction sheet. The only way I found out that I had everything was to go to Ebay and see the pictures others posted of the EP74852 kit. I have managed a technical publication team that included instruction sheets and I would never have let this get out to the public.

Love the Touch features

This came with the house. 4 years no issues, since then I replaced the valve/touch controller twice(2). Now I am looking at my third in 2 years. For the cost I would expect it to last longer. Kind of disappointing. Like so many things - new does not mean better.
