Great for fries that's all I use it for. Chicken wings destroys the oil and you'd have to replace it constantly. Buy one for wings so it separate and doesn't cross contaminate your oil. Do not let it overheat you will shorten the life of the heating coil and thermostat causing excessive current draw to the unit also. That's why I replaced mine after 15 years. It kept tripping the breaker circuit.

My lady and I have 4 kids living at home at present, ages from 12, to 20. I have taught them all how to responsibly use a deep fryer, this is the second one we've owned together, the first one was a commercial type fryer, with a poor wiring setup that ultimately almost caused a fire, as it was the electrical burned up, and thankfully did not burn outside it's slightly enclosed area, we were lucky! This unit however is better made, it has a built in safety set-up for the electrical so as to insure no dangerous fire breakout-better explained in the manual and on the item homepage. This unit has 2 separate fry baskets, versus only 1, which is really nice when you want to cook some fries, and some chicken tenders. It's also easy to use, just be smart, if you buy this item; -which I would obviously recommend, do read the instruction manual, and put the manual where you know where it is, and can find it, in the past I've made the, mistake of not doing this, and I've learned the hard way.
