Presto Stainless Steel Electric Wok 05900

I purchased this wok for my fiancé - it came on time and is just what we hoped for. The temperature setting is very responsive. It is easy to clean. We like the deeper shape. Definitely recommend!

My last Wok lasted 30 years. With this new replacement only time in use will write the real story. So far no complaints. There is no such thing as a safe nonstick coating applied to cookware. Finding an electric stainless steel Wok is more challenging. Non stick coatings of any type increase hazards and are not needed when cooking properly. Stainless Steel withstands more abuse, can be resurfaced and polished if necessary. Eventually purchased the Presto SS Wok for safe cooking, adding to my collection of safe cast iron and uncoated Stainless Steel cookware, simply the best. The Wok preforms well, simple construction, light weight, heats up quickly, riveted handles, easy to clean, good overall quality. The electric heating element as usual is embedded. The plug-in and removable heat control thermostat doesn't feel as robust as the one used on my past Wok, but it functions well. The bottom of the Wok is flat to accommodate the electric heating element, but not enough to cause alarm. I use the Wok 2 to 3 times a week. Handel with care, should last a few decades.
