Pour 2-3" of litter into a clean litter box. Scoop waste clumps daily. Add more litter as needed to maintain desired depth. With regular scooping, your base litter can last up to 7 weeks. Switching made simple! Start with a clean, empty litter box at each transition: 1. Fill half the box with ökocat and top off with your current litter for a total of 2-3". 2. Use more ökocat and top with less of your current litter. 3. When your cat is comfortable with the change, fill litter box 2-3" entirely with ökocat. ökocat litter is flushable in well-maintained septic systems. It is important to only flush only 1 or 2 scoops of litter at a time. Never put large amounts of litter in the toilet. Please check with your local and state regulations before flushing into a public or septic system. Healthy Pet will not be responsible for damages resulting from misuse of its products. DO NOT FLUSH LITTER IN LOW-FLOW, WATER-SAVING TOILETS According to CA Law AB 2485, encouraging your cat to use an indoor litter box, or properly disposing of outdoor cat feces, is beneficial to overall water quality. California asks that you do not flush cat litter in toilets or dispose of it in gutters or storm drains.

awesome! it's like sawdust. soft and smells like sawdust, or nothing, even if your kinda lazy and don't clean it out as much as I should like me. it's great for small spaces. kinda tracks in front of the box but a pad would probably fix it. you have to let the urine dry so it clumps right. and when flushing, put only some in, because it expands when the clumps dissolve. and let it dissolve for a few minutes so that it doesn't clog up your plumbing. how much and how long depends on the sensitivity or size of your plumbing.

Okocat litter is terrific!
Wonderfully lightweight, and a renewable resource! (Clay is not renewable, and it's awfully heavy!) One of my 2 cats has long hair, and tracks a bit of the litter, but a large throw rug next to the litter boxes collects it nicely. Okocat clumps well, and is flushable in my city sewer system. No odor, no artificial fragrances.

Mainstay litter for almost 10 years
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I first heard of okocat from attending CatCon. I gave it a try and never went back to the old and heavy litter I used to get. I recommended it to my neighbor since and she's still using okocat to this day. My cats like to use Super Soft. They go in and out if the litter boxes all they long as if playing at the beach. It's not totally track free but I would say it's at the most minimal level compared to the old-fashioned litter sand. It's also odorless but it seems to lock in the bad smells.
