Shipping needs improvement but overall happy.

I was pleased with how fast I received my purchase, I had opted for free shipping which said it could take 10 days but I received it in about 2 which was great! ... Overall the bed when assembled feels sturdy and long lasting. I loved the color of the bronze and felt it was fairly easy to assemble. Here are the things I didn't love. 1) the biggest flaw is the shipping. I believe Wayfair needs to prepare their merchandise for a bit of rough and tumble through the shipping department. there wasn't much protection between the box and the frame so of course when the box got a bit mashed up through the shipping process the bed frame got some dings and scratches on it, some of the paint got removed in spots.. Luckily I happen to have bronze nail polish and was able to conceal all blemishes and paint removal scars... 2) The post ends didn't all fit in their insert holes properly and I had to get a hammer and bend a few to make them round so they would assemble correctly. not a huge deal but I was nervous at first that I wouldn't be able to manipulate it exactly right to make it fit.. but eventually I got it.. 3) The bed frame comes with silver assembly tools (screws, nuts, etc.) this is very unsightly against the bronze frame,,, definitely cheapens the look of the bed.. fortunately for me I have that bronze nail polish so I simply went around and painted each one and now everything looks great! .. I definitely recommend purchasing some bronze nail polish or paint so you can do some superficial repairs and visual enhancements as I did.... it will make you much happier with the end result. .. but I still think for the price this is a beautiful bed and I believe it will last a long while.. Hope this review helped.. :)

Good, Bad, and Ugly

The Good: It is an attractive bed and looks more expensive than it is. It is nice and solid once set up and don't wiggle are creak when moving around at night. The Bad: The bed can be difficult to set up. The Allen wrenches they supply are a pain to deal with and you have to man handle the frame to get them into place. As stated, the bed was damaged in shipping and there was a post that had to be hammered out to fit the finial and several places where they finish was scratched down to the base metal. The box looked like it when through a war zone by the time it arrived. The Ugly: The welds on the support slats as well as support legs was spotty at best. There are gaps that weren't filled properly and the bolt supports where just tacked on. I wouldn't expect this bed to stand up to regular use or kids that might get a bit rough with it. I suspect that in the near future I'll be having to have some of the welds repaired.
