Charged for 30 minutes and been playing well over an hour. Rocking! Easy to control, hold EQ/lights button to turn off lights. Full volume ok but crank it up on your phone! Awesome for poolside party. For the price, this baby ROCKS! And yes, my neighbors can hear it full volume, oopsie. Might buy another one, know my son will want this for college. Congrats and Rock on!

I'm a experienced (aka old) gadget freak...especially low cost electronics. I know that I'm not buying a Benz at a Ford price...just doesn't happen. But that said, here we go: I went looking for an outdoor speaker for my back yard patio. A./ Had to be heard above background noise and also above normal conversation, with being a rock party. I love 70s - 90s of all kinds, along with New Orleans jazz and country. For outside , low bass rules , but the most important thing is "Throw" and "Prescence" Only 6" or more speakers can do that..indoor systems will get totally lost when outside. PROS: A. LOUD as anything under $100.... I've had Pyle, beFree, Ion, and DOSS brands. B. PRESCENCE, meaning a nice open sound as opposed to overdriven bass-only. C. BLUETOOTH, meaning holds a good connection, no frequent stop-starts. D. DESIGN, as in not bells and whistle looks followed by yuk performance. E. SIZE, perfect to carry around in the car , too big for backpack or bicycle maybe. F. OUTDOOR / INDOOR, sound fine indoors also. G. iLive actually has a website (!!) which is pretty unusual for "cheap" electronics - the website says been in business 45 Years !! ...as same name no less !...haha. CONS: A. Controls are almost non-existent...your smartphone will be your Volume / Track / and EQ. B. Nonreplaceable battery...But then even the expensive ones are that way. Why not standardize on size ? Smartphones same too...why ? C. Stobe light is fine, but kids say matched to the beat would be better. For me, I turn it off. SUMMARY : At March 2021 Walmart price of $55, and if you can handle the cheap controls on the unit itself, cannot find any that sounds better across vocal , Dixieland, 70s Rock. Just remember, garbage in, garbage out.. Feed it good quality loud recordings, or Spotify, or You Tube's better stuff, and enjoy your back yard. Your kids will want it if you don't, and you didn't break the bank for them for somethng they are gonna break anyhow....:}} ( I have kids and grandkids )
