Bought for twin beds that needed a little TLC. I had those plastic covers on them before, with a thick mattress pad. Updated the beds to add memory foam, and covered with the 6-sided cover. The cover itself is very soft, not crunchy like the plastic covers. No problem at all fitting mattress and 3-inch memory foam inside cover. Ended up ordering the CalKing size for my bed.
