It's been a long time since Spiker was discontinued, and for my hair texture it was a game changer when I discovered it. I could shape or straighten at will, and it would stay that way until I slept or showered. I've probably tried a dozen other products since then and always came away disappointed. Best out there for stubborn straight hair
My son has very straight, very thick hair and this is the best product I've found to style it. It does a great job at adding texture and hold. The only style we haven't been able to achieve is a Mohawk. His hair is just too heavy and we're probably not using enough product to do it properly. It does everything else.

These days, I swear I use got to be glued religiously. It has replaced practically all other gels that I used to use. It has a full and lasting hold that doesn't leave any sort of white or sticky residue throughout the day. I know that it's supposed to be for heavily gel hairstyles, but I use it from everything to slick down a ponytail to just securing my edges. I feel like the safest way to use. It is to apply and then wash either the same day or within two days. It is very secure and has a great hold. I am obsessed.
