The First Alert SA3210 10-Year Battery Dual Sensor Alarm provides early warning of both flaming and smoldering fires. Additionally, its intelligent sensing technology is designed to cut down on nuisance alarms from cooking smoke or other common false-alarm triggers. A single button both silences and tests the smoke detector for simple operation. Fast flaming fires spread quickly and leave minutes; maybe seconds; to react. Slow smoldering fires burn long and can unknowingly fill the home with smoke causing smoke inhalation. The alarm's microchip helps determine the difference between non-threatening conditions and real emergencies.

Nothing to dislike. I bought these in place of wired because I'm getting too old to go up a ladder to replace the battery. They are sitting on my ceilings held up with Scott's outdoor tape. Hopefully, I will never have to find out whether or not they really work. That's why I only gave them 4 stars. The test button works, but I don't know if they work from a fire.

these are outdated units
These are old units. The date on the back is 2021 - meaning my 10 year battery is now a 7 year battery. Also the unit was already on (although the package was sealed).
