Yogasleep Hushh® Portable White Noise Sound Sleep Sound Machine and Night Light for Babies, Gray

Love this thing - lifesaver - practical and lasts long hours and long lifetime . We purchased thieving the 2nd time - the first one was in heavy use but gave up after 5 years which I think is okay lol but the same one again and using everywhere we go and it keeps baby (and Mama by now) asleep so well!

This was the third sound machine we'd gotten since my 4-month old was born, and it's the last one we'll need. The first was very cute, — a stuffed lamb you can hang on the outside of the crib that will shush on loop or make other white noise as selected — but he shuts off after 30 minutes and our baby then promptly wakes up every time. Plus he's battery operated and with regular use he dies just about every 2-3 days. The second was a stuffed bear with lights that project onto the wall and about a dozen options for sound. We thought he was the solution to our problems because he didn't have an auto shut off feature, plus we loved the cute star projection. But the sounds he offered weren't as good (mostly lullabies) and he drained batteries faster than even the sheep. It was then we came upon yogasleep's Hushh sound machine based on the recommendation from Taking Cara Babies' sleep course and we haven't looked back. It's not “cute” but I'll take effective over bells and whistles any day. No more buying batteries by the truckload or constantly swapping out and recharging the reusable kind. The Hushh charges easily and quickly via android type charger and it lasts through the night and 3-4 naps during the day (sometimes longer) before needing a charge. It has three classic white noise sounds (our favorite is the ocean), it doesn't auto shut off. Plus, it's nice and compact so our kiddo is easily soothed on car rides and on the go in his stroller. We are quickly learning as new parents that less is quite often significantly more, and that was certainly the case in this instance. A newborn doesn't care how cute his sound machine is, just that it helps him get to sleep and stay there. The Hushh does that.
