I love the look of unfinished wood. To me, it looks clean, fresh, and new. The wood will change color naturally over time by itself, as all things age. This stool is exactly like one I bought several years ago from a different company...but that one has a clear coat finish. I've had it a really long time. I needed another step stool and found this one on the Walmart website. I knew when I saw it that I would purchase it. The price was very reasonable, the product is very well made, and really sturdy. Exactly as I'd hoped it would be and just like the one I already own. What a great find. I think it's true that "one can find almost anything they need at a Walmart." If you're looking for a great buy and an outstanding step stool, this is the one for you.
