e.l.f. Bite Size Eyeshadow, Hot Jalapeno

I've used this color palette for a few years. Unfortunately, it has become harder to find in stores. The colors are vivid, blend well %26 offer a matte finish. I apply a light-colored matte eyeshadow for a base, then apply this color palette using my clean fingertips. I especially like the lighter green along the base of my eyelashes %26 the gold along my crease. The shade is quite pretty %26 the size is just right and is usually reasonably priced. (Costing about $5 unless you have to specialty order.)

This eye shadow pallet is nearly perfect for my 13 year old daughter with the exception of the darkest shade. She is on a learning curve with make-up and how much to apply. I'm so relieved as a mom from the 60's when all beauty products were a death trap, to have clean, safer products available for myself and my girls, such as the Elf brand. The reason I give a 4 star rating is due to the cost per ounce and the fact that you get so little product in each pallet. I prefer to purchase individual colors/shades and get more of the product for the price. If I run out of one color, I would only have to replace that one rather than an entire pallet including multiple shades. Also, individual color pallets give me more control as a parent over the depth of pigments my young teens use according to age appropriateness. I do, however, like the fact that less product per pallet means that my teens are also learning to use the make-up more sparingly to make it last until they save enough of their allowance to pay for it to be replaced with a new one.
