Eyeshadow Mono: Apply all over the eyelid for a wash of color and blend around the edges for a softer finish, or apply shade on the outermost corner of the eye in a "V" shape and blend for a smokey eye effect. Eyeshadow Trio and Quad: Use a mid-tone shade and apply as a base all over the eyelid. Place the darkest shade on the outermost corner of the eye in a "V" shape and follow the crease to add depth and dimension. Bend the edges for a softer, natural-looking result. Use the lightest shade in the inner corner of the eye as an highlighter.
