Does exactly what we need
Mostly quiet and very efficient machine. We purchased this dual air purifier and humidifier for the very dry winters in NC. The humidifier is mostly quiet (low hum) until its drawing down more water, then you hear the gurgling sound of that. The air purifier only mode has the same low hum, neither are entirely distracting once you've heard them a few times. We no longer wake up dried out or get that night cough. My allergies have been better during the day. We don't sleep without either of the two functions, though i suspect in the summer, we wont need the humidifier part as much. Really happy with this machine - weve had it almost 4 months now.
