Good picture and sound under Win 11 %26 Linux.

I tried a different VGA to HDMI converter first, which didn't work, and felt a bit skeptical about ordering this one though I could pretty well trust Walmart to refund if it didn't work either. I had a monitor that only had an HDMI input and wanted to use a computer's VGA output with that monitor. This converter's online documentation said it would work with sound only on Windows. I discovered that this converter worked with sound on both Windows 11 and Kubuntu Linux.

You have to be focused when buying thisbtype of adapter. They work as they should but they are not bydirectional in all cases. That is, it not the same adapter if you go from VGA to HDMI or if you go from HDMI to VGA. Although it migh seem obvious it is not what I was used to whenever it was about technology. For me, everything was bydirectional by defoult. I bought two previously before noticing what was the issue.
