HART 140-Piece 1/4 and 3/8-inch Drive Mechanics Tool Set, Chrome Finish, SAE & Metric

My husband has been wanting a nice tool set to keep in his van and when Sparks offered this for review, I knew it would be perfect for him! And when he saw it, he agreed. Besides commenting on the variety of bits, drivers, nut drivers, sockets and deep well sockets, etc that is included with this kit, he commented on that the sockets are 6 point! He was very pleased about that as 6 point are less likely to slip and also less likely to round off whatever you are using it on. He was also happy to see that the ratchet has 90 teeth with a 4" arc. Many ratchets have fewer teeth and therefore the arc is larger and sometimes you just don't have the space so 90 is nice.... There are two ratchets, 3/8" and 1/4" dr and a variety of sockets included for both sizes. Also there are extensions for both sizes and multiple sockets for both. The sockets are also for either SAE(Society of Automotive Engineers), which are used for mainly domestic vehicles and MM(millimeters) for imports....and yes, I looked up SAE to see what it meant. Anyway, there is multiple sizes of 1" insert bits and so much more in this very handy kit. The tools have a chrome finish so they are rust resistant and they are all included in this durable carrying case. We have an older vehicle and at times have been stuck with the tools we needed still at home. We now carry this in the van with us. The Hart mech. driver set has every size socket and screwdriver bit you could ever need, in one convenient case. These socket drivers are very sturdy, and so far have held up to everything I have tested them on, and I think they will last forever. They are very well made. We have used them on rusted bolts outside, and they came through like a champ in getting the rusted nut to break free and come off. Where there is something that needs done around here, it is so easy to grab the kit and tackle the job and get it done. It is very convenient to be able to take the whole set to where you are working, so you are sure to have what you need, right there. The case that the tools are in, is also very sturdy and has good latches on it. It is also very nice to finally have all the different screwdriver bits right there, as I am finding that every screw around here, is a different kind and has a different head on it. I really love this tool set, and find it used so much, that I do keep it in a handy spot, where I can just grab it and go and know that I will have everything I need right there.
