I will start by saying that I am a full time commercial plumber in the state of Wisconsin, which means I have this saw with me probably 50 hours a week in hot, freezing cold, dirty, dusty, muddy, and every once and while even clean conditions. This saw has held up to the elements better than I had ever expected. If you are a plumber or if you know one, you will know that a saw like this is used more than your left hand on a job site. You might also know that most plumbers tend to have the version of this saw that is sold by the other red company whose name I don't think I need to mention. I can tell you from personal experience, between the two major companies offering a one handed sawzall like this, the better choice of the two is undoubtedly the Dewalt and here's why. The Dewalt just plain cuts harder and cuts faster. I have raced guys at work using new blades cutting thorugh 4" pipe and my Dewalt wins every time. Secondly, The Dewalt has much better balance and can actually stand straight up on its battery, a feat that cannot be matched by its red competitor. The Dewalt also comes with an amazing belt hook, which makes my coworkers red with envy (almost matching the color of their tools). Lastly but absolutely most importantly, the Dewalt is a much lighter saw. I can tell you that I hang this saw from my toolbelt and walk around with it all day long without even noticing it there which is awesome, trust me. Speaking of walking around with it all day long, I typically pair this saw with a 5.0 battery which tends to last over a day of cutting and slanging pipe on a single charge. So no need to buy more than two packs in a commercial position and any other use you could easily have a single battery for this thing. I don't just use this thing to cut pipe either, I have powered through studs, nails, cast iron, tree branches, an electricians wire, and even used it to cut my steak once. Its time to stop doubting if this saw is right for you and just buy it, I can promise you will have no regrets
