Powerful and compact
Bought this last week after seeing the cart version at my local ACE hardware store. It quickly and powerfully rolls the long hose (50' of 3/4"). We did not mount it so I have to step on it to keep it upright but there is plenty of clearance to do that. Still debating on permanent mounting solutions (defeats the portable aspect). My engineer husband is not happy with the width of the spacer on the handle as he thinks it will "walk out" but it works fine and I carry on. He can over-engineer it later. It took quite a bit of force to insert the handle and crank into the frame and line up the screw holes. I probably could not have done it alone. Seems to be solidly built. Quick shipping in an appropriately solid box. If I had it to over again would buy the cart version pre-assembled as it is not as low to the ground. Maybe next year and this one can go to back yard.

This product is poor quality for the high price. One of the welding spots that holds the reel to the frame broke after less than 1 month of normal use. It's lightweight but this feature also made it tip over when unreeling the hose, especially when the hose got snagged on the reel. Pros are it is attractive and compact.
