KimChi is so good for our digestive systems that I resolved to try the flakes. They are so tasty that I'm eating them as a stand-alone snack. There is a slight but not unpleasant peppery after taste. The pepper is why I avoided the natural KimChi to start with. However, I am going to give it a try. Flakes can be added to salads or soups or eaten alone. Give it a try and do something good for your body!
