Bless Walmart for selling Worthmore's!
I've been loving Worthmore/s mock turtle since I voting when I came of age in Cincinnati and voted for Eisenhower in my first presidential election. Back then, Worthmore was one of two widely-sold mock turtle soups, and I liked 'em both. Mock turtle was my Sunday supper staple. Stegner's isn't around any more, and I live now in Michigan, and I've never found Worthmore's in a supermarket anywhere but Cincinnati, so I usually buy it six or 10 cans at a time by mail order, or have Cincinnati friends bring me some when they come north for a visit. A can of Worthmore's, a splash of sherry, and a squeeze of lemon . . . make's my week complete. Bless Walmart for carrying it!
