PUR Basic Pitcher/Dispenser Water Replacement Filter, CRF950Z, 1 Pack

I bought the filter in store. I was surprised that it was only $8 . I also bought a 30-cup pitcher, %26 it rang up lower than the sticker price. I already had a small PUR pitcher for coffee water. I got the large, 30 cup dispenser because the unit we had 2 separate filters. This unit is a Berkey, tall stainless steel unit. First, both were out of stock. These units filter were expensive . . like $80 for the one that had been out of stock. I like the Berkey units, %26 the filters are an investment because they last for years. We moved to our current house in the summer of 2019, %26 just this year needed replacement. But back to the PUR, I had a faucet unit for years, but the Berkey was my daughter's unit, %26 we moved in together %26 used her big Berkey. . . so I just used a pitcher unit for coffee . . it's a 10 cup unit.

Pur water filter is the only one in which Ive read that lists that it removes lead from your water. I don't know why that is ??? I do wish they all removed lead. I don't particularly care for the Pur pitchers . the tops constantly break on mine. I simply deal with it for the advantage of the lead removal. I recently got one for my parents fully expecting them NOT to use it...ut they love it! They both can't believe how much better their water tastes . II had mentioned it before, but they said their water already tastes just fine ...ha... if you care about the long term healrh of someone, buy them one.
