I will say I live in Florida and rarely wear socks for obvious reasons! I do however LOVE spa socks, especially after a pedicure or even just for lotion soaks over night to avoid dry skin. These socks are great, warm and soft, which come up to about your ankles and have the grippers which are important so you do not end up sliding and wiping out on the floors in your home! I still try and walk slowly in these types of socks on tile/laminate floors just to be safe. I think these are great especially as a gift for a lucky lady in your life, or even a stocking-stuffer for yourself! Be creative! A nice basket, these socks and some lotions would make a great gift hand-made gift basket for Mother’s Day! (Trust me, that is a great gift!) I usually just wash these and hang them up to dry so I’m not sure how they are on shrinkage in the dryer unless they end up there on accident. I haven’t had any problems so far on them with that part. I just prefer not to take risks on certain fabrics, especially fuzzy, soft ones that you’re not sure about. These are great!

Mom loves these socks and always wears a pair around the house. Everything is perfect and the socks would be serviceable much longer if the elastic top were more durable - still, a great buy for exactly the right product!
