It said to size up and I did. I don't have a wide foot but I usually buy wide for comfort. These fit even though they aren't wide but they wouldn't be generous for a wide foot. They are soft and can feel cushion in footbed. I haven't worn them for long periods of time so don't know if small toe opening will pinch but it hasn't for length of time I've worn them.
