Zatarain's Wonderful Fish Fri, 10 oz Bag. Zatarain's Wonderful Fish Fri delivers a tasty, coating to seafood or veggies. This all-corn, breading mix brings the rich traditions of Big Easy cooking straight to your family's table. Wonderful Fish Fri helps you create comfort food inspired by our Southern roots. To prepare, simply roll or shake fish in the seafood breading, then cook in the deep fryer, skillet or oven until golden brown on the outside and flaky in the middle. Dust the fish with the breading or moisten first in a milk-and-egg mixture for a heartier crust. For authentic New Orleans flavor, season the fish with Zatarain's Creole Seasoning before breading. Use Wonderful Fish Fri Seafood Breading for fish and chips, po'boys or fried shrimp. This Zatarain's Wonderful Fish Fri is in a Cardboard bag that is 10 ounces. Store this shelf-stable item at an ambient temperature.

Refrigerate after opening.Fried Fish Directions:1. Pour 1 inch of vegetable oil into large skillet. Or fill deep fryer no more than 1/3 full with oil. Heat oil to 350 degrees F on medium heat.2. Pour Fish-Fri onto plate. Use 1/2 cup Fish-Fri per 1 lb. fish. Roll fish in Fish-Fri until evenly coated.3. Fry fish until light golden brown.Note: For thicker coating, dip fish in 1/2 cup milk mixed with 1 lightly beaten egg, before rolling in Fish-Fri.Baking Directions:1. Brush 1 lb. fish fillets on both sides with oil. Pour Fish-Fri onto plate. Roll fish in Fish-Fri until evenly coated.2. Place fish on shallow baking pan sprayed with no stick cooking spray. Spray top of fish with cooking spray.3. Bake in preheated 450 degrees F oven 15 minutes or until fish flakes easily with a fork.

Tasty and Crunchy
So far I've tried the pan frying method and the baking method with grouper. Both came out really well! Pan frying was tastier and crunchier than baking, but the baking gets the win health-wise. Now that I've tried it a few times, I'm looking forward to experimenting with this in my air fryer to see if I can keep it keep it healthier and get the frying level of crunch. This mix adds great flavor and a tiny hint of spice without going overboard. It's a simple way to make something really tasty at home. I received this product free in exchange for my review.

Our family loved the flavor and the ease of making a delicious dinner on a busy school night.This was our first time using this product and we will deffinetly use it again and again. Zatarain's has always been our go to brand for soul food and we will now add this to always have on hand.

Great taste, easy to use
Full disclosure, i received a box of Zatarain's gluten free seasoned fish fry, in exchange for my honest review of the product. Thank you Zatarain's! I've never used a Zatarain's product before, but wow, the flavor was amazing. It was so easy to use and really tasted great. I air fried tilapia with after breading each piece. I look forward to trying different ways to use the fish fry. The biggest test, was my kids are the fish and went back for seconds!!!
