Wolf Man-Legacy Collection (DVD)

Great stuff ! 1941's The Wolfman with Lon Cheney is one of the all-time greats. Bela Lugosi has a small role as the son of the unforgettable Maria Ouspenskaya. Claude Rains is excellent as Cheney's tortured father. Don't miss this one ! Frankenstein Meets The Wolfman is also very good. Maria and Cheney are back and Lugosi plays F's monster ! Good, athletic, though brief, climactic battle. She-Wolf of London is okay. Fun to see a young June Lockhart as the title character. Werewolf of London pre-dates The Wolfman and is not related in mythology. Features a good viscious battle in a laboratory between the hero and Warner Oland ( filmdom's best Charlie Chan ). Another excellent collection of Universal's classic films. Watch it when the moon is full.
