I sleep upstairs and my elderly grandmother sleeps downstairs, so I bought this doorbell so she can use it to alert me if she needs something. As you can see by the photo, I positioned it discreetly behind her bedroom curtains, attached to the window frame in her bedroom. It rings loud enough to wake me up from a sleep, but not so loudly that it would startle me, and it has many different ring tones to choose from.
