Winsor & Newton Artist Oil Brush, Long Handle, Filbert, 8

I received these brushes as part of a free sample program - I had been familiar with the Royal & Langnickel paints, but was new to the brushes. This kit provided an excellent variety of brush sizes, and we definitely put them to the test! During an evening of painting, each of the brushes in the kit was used, they gave great coverage and very little streaking. The fine brush did a great job of tight lines and the angled brush made good coverage in tight corners of my artwork. I used these brushes with both acrylic and water color paints, and they cleaned up nicely with soap and water, and air dried soft, not stiff like other brands I have used in the past. There was absolutely no bristles lost during any of the hard use that I had put them through. I will definitely be purchasing more of these brushes, probably in different sizes and I'm pretty sure the ones I have will last quite a while.

Excellent detail brushes for a water color masterpiece. The brush guide on the back of the package is super helpful for beginners like me to learn what each brush can do and shows me what additional brushes I need to purchase to achieve those looks. They wash up nicely from the water color paints. The package that it comes in doubles as a zip close pouch.
