WETS Winged Weeder

This is my fourth Winged Weeder I have purchased in the past ten years. I have used two of the larger ones and now two smaller ones. They have been durable and they make it easier to cultivate/weed plants without damaging the plants you want in your garden. The smaller one is best around many bedding plants the larger one seems best when weeding around more open areas with shrubs and bushes. Easier to maneuver around plants than a regular hoe.

About 20 years ago, I bought the Winged Weeder at a local hardware store. It has been the most used tool in my collection of garden implements. It has never failed me and whenever I head out to visit with and help my adult children in their gardens, I make sure it goes with me. Well, my original WW finally came apart this summer and I was in mourning. Since it was originally produced and sold by a small company in Idaho, I didn't think they existed anymore. They had long disappeared from the hardware store. But, I was determined to track something of the sort down. It didn't take more than a minute online to find that the WW was indeed available - quickly - from Walmart. Hurray!!!! And thanks to Walmart's efficient and quick response, it was here in just a few days. The weather is good today and I am heading out into the garden to start cutting back on the dead plants and removing the last of the invasive weeds with my Winged Weeder 200. NOTE: I prefer the smaller head to the larger one on the Winged Weeder 100. I also own the original short Winged Weeder which I use as I sit on a stool to weed.
