Great irons

Have played Infiniti forged irons for years. The C300 forged irons are butter soft. Splurged for the Recoil shaft and do not regret it. They have made the irons feel phenomenal. Definitely recommend the fitting process if available in your area. My fitter was great. The entire process was enjoyable.

Gotta get 'em!

High cut, low draw, high draw, low cut, knockdown, you name it you can hit it. From a former scratch player that played Staff Tour Blades in the 1990's, nice to see the quality and value return, with a little helpful tech added for this old body! Tried multiple shafts and ended up with the KBS Tour 105 Stiff, +3/4" (37" 7 iron), 2 1/2 degrees upright. Mid size grip with 2 extra wraps on the left and 4 on the right hand. Been stuck at a 4 hdcp for a couple of years, mostly because of lack of playing time and some injuries, but after 20 minutes on the range, right out of the box, hit 16 greens and shot even - first time in over a year! Can't wait to head out again for 9 holes tonight and dial-in the distances some more - and just hit them! I seriously think anyone from a single digit up to a 15 handicap will benefit from these, and a they are a tremendous value! Seem some negative comments regarding Wilson resale value, but not to worry here - these aren't going anywhere outside my bag for a very long time! And by the way, I'm 57 years young and hit this 7 iron 170 yards - +10 from the old sticks!

Great clubs

I just got off the course after playing my first round with my new C300 Forged Irons. I am very happy with my purchase. I am in my 60s and play to about an 8 handicap. I grew up with Wilson products, having played Hagen irons in the 70s when they were owned by Wilson, and then played Staff Tour Blades in the 80s, and continued with Wilson products through much of the 90s, but frankly had not seriously looked at them for the last ten of fifteen years. I have spent this past decade playing with Titleist AP1 irons, which were nice clubs, but I missed the feel I used to get when I made solid contact with a forged iron. So this year I spent the spring testing a series of clubs, including offerings by Titleist, Cobra and Callaway, in addition to Wilson. I was a little leary of going all the way back to a forged blade and still wanted a little forgiveness and assistance as I get older. Then I tested the C300 Forged. It was everything I was looking for. If you strike it with the middle of the club face it feels like you are cutting butter with a hot knife, and the ball explodes off the club face. I took these right to the course without even a warm up session and hit the ball solid all day. The distance I was getting was fairly consistent with the distance I was getting from the AP!s, but the Titleist product has stronger lofts. For example, the Titleist gap wedge has 48 degrees of loft, while the Wilson has 50, but I am getting the same distance, within a couple of yards. With Titlest I had too much of a gap between the 48 degrees and my sand wedge, and had to bring in a second gap wedge. No such problem with the c300s. The gaps between the wedges make more sense. At the other end of the spectrum, I hit the 4 iron so well that I will probably take one of my hybrids out of the bag. If you are in the market for new Irons, and haven't looked at Wilson's for a while, do yourself a favor and check these out. Wilson is back in a big way.
